GET A QUOTEWebJun 3, 2021 · Overall, the LS9 cam is not really a good "fit" with a stock 5.3. You are giving up 40-50# of torque @ 3,000 rpm and below. The torque curve won't catch the stock cam until about 4,500 rpm! And the hp curve is way worse, with the curves not meeting until 5,300 rpm! At 3,000 rpm the stock cam is over 30 hp stronger.
